Frequently Asked Questions

  • Once you are deemed suitable to have the treatment, dermal fillers are administered by tiny injections to the desired areas by either Dr Ravi or Dr Karishma. The treatment is considered to be minimally invasive.

  • The dermal filler used contains lignocaine, an anaesthetic. For our lip filler treatments, we offer the option of numbing cream +/- nerve blocking local anaesthetic which can be given before the procedure. Treatment need not be painful.

  • Your safety is our biggest priority. We carry out a detailed medical consultation, ensure the highest standard of cross infection control and only use UK licensed products.

  • There will be a noticeable change immediately after the treatment. There may be some swelling and redness over the treatment area which quickly settles and the final results can be judged after 7 days.

  • Treatment results can last between 6-12 months

  • Usually 2 or 3 appointments are required: A free consultation, the treatment itself and a complimentary review appointment

  • Specific aftercare advice is always provided after the treatment. We advise to avoid touching the treated area, avoid alcohol, exercise and applying make-up for the first 24 hours. We also advise not to expose the area to extreme temperatures (sauna, sunbathing) for 48 hours.
